SAL Partners with Madinah Region Development Authority

SAL Logistics Services, a premier provider of logistics and ground handling solutions in Saudi Arabia, has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Madinah Region Development Authority. This partnership aims to modernize logistics services and implement smart facility solutions at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. The initiative seeks to elevate the quality of airport services, ensuring top-tier logistics solutions for beneficiaries.

Official Agreement Signing and Key Objectives

The agreement was formalized by Mr. Saleh bin Ahmed Aldaini, Chief Shared Services Officer at SAL Logistics Services, and Mr. Abdulmajeed Mangara, General Manager of the Madinah Smart City Program, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.

Mr. Saleh Bin Ahmed Aldaini expressed the significance of signing this agreement with the Madinah Development Authority and stated, “This agreement marks a turning point in the development of logistics services in Madinah. Our collaboration with the Authority will enhance air cargo operations, provide innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to the growth of the region, and align with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030”.

The agreement aims to address the challenges faced by exporters and importers, provide the necessary support to help increase air cargo volumes and improve the logistics performance index in the Madinah region.

The collaboration focuses on studying and integrating smart facility systems within the airport, with the potential expansion of these systems to SAL’s facilities. Additionally, it aims to establish a strategic framework to boost exports by providing innovative logistics solutions to exporters and suppliers, thereby enhancing logistics services across the Madinah region.

Sustainability and Regional Development Initiatives

Beyond logistics enhancement, the agreement incorporates several key initiatives, including research and implementation of environmental sustainability programs at Madinah Airport facilities. It also supports regional events and seasonal activities, reinforcing the airport’s role as a dynamic hub. A dedicated joint task force will be established to facilitate coordination, organize logistics workshops, and launch initiatives to strengthen the region’s logistics capabilities.
